The Governors’ Climate & Forests Task Force is a subnational collaboration of 38 states and provinces working to protect tropical forests, reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and promote realistic pathways to forest-maintaining rural development through direct partnerships with subnational governments, civil society, the private sector, indigenous peoples, and local communities.

iNaturalist addresses the critical need for comprehensive, real-time biodiversity data. As one of the largest sources of recent, on-the-ground biodiversity information globally, our platform empowers communities and scientists to document and share geotagged photos of species. This crowdsourced data collection, enhanced by our AI models and verified by a dedicated community, creates a robust and reliable dataset. The urgency of our work is underscored by the rapid loss of biodiversity worldwide. Accurate, real-time data is essential for informed conservation efforts, enabling the discovery of new species, monitoring of endangered species, and guiding biodiversity management decisions at local, national, and global levels.

The Kinetica Innovation Centre at SAIT (KICS) is a facility and program that helps clean energy technology innovators design, prototype and test their proprietary technologies. The 2,200-square-foot facility is located on the SAIT campus and offers a combination of co-working wet and technical lab space, a rigorous prototype development program and access to SAIT testing facilities and Innovate Calgary’s programs.

The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit scientific research and communications organization supported by property insurers, reinsurers, and affiliated companies. IBHS’s building safety research leads to real-world solutions for home and business owners, helping to create more resilient communities.

IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, helps the world find pragmatic solutions to our most pressing environment and development challenges. IUCN’s work focuses on valuing and conserving nature, ensuring effective and equitable governance of its use, and deploying nature-based solutions to global challenges in climate, food and development. IUCN supports scientific research, manages field projects all over the world, and brings governments, NGOs, the UN and companies together to develop policy, laws and best practices. IUCN is the world’s oldest and largest global environmental organization, with more than 1,200 government and NGO members and almost 11,000 volunteer experts in some 160 countries.

The International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) is the global network for forest science cooperation, open to all individuals and organizations involved in forest research and forest related sciences. It is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-discriminatory organization with a mission to advance research excellence and knowledge sharing, and to foster the development of science-based solutions to forest-related challenges for the benefit of forests and people worldwide. IUFRO attains its objectives by networking activities including the generation, exchange, synthesis, and dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI) is a non-profit organization based in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China, which was founded in December 2013. JITRI positions itself at the nexus of scientific research and technological transformation, striving to overcome structural and institutional barriers that restrict scientific and technological advances and exploring new mechanisms to facilitate technology transfer and new channels for to transform scientific and technological achievements into tangible products. In accordance with the concept of "R&D as an industry and technology as a product," JITRI focuses on two main roles. First, it acts as a bridge between universities or scientific research institutions and industry. Secondly, it acts as a bridge between global innovation resources and Jiangsu Province.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (MBARI) is a private, non-profit research institution where scientists and engineers work together to develop new instruments and methods for studying the ocean. MBARI scientists and engineers conduct multidisciplinary research in a variety of fields, including marine biology, marine chemistry, marine geology, physical oceanography, and marine technology. Located in Moss Landing, California, MBARI is supported primarily by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.

The National Parks Board (NParks) is responsible for enhancing and managing the urban ecosystems of our City in Nature. We are the lead agency for greenery, biodiversity conservation, and wildlife and animal health, welfare and management. We are also working closely with the community to enhance the quality of our living environment.
NParks manages some 400 parks, 3,347 hectares of nature reserves, the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Pulau Ubin and the Sisters' Islands Marine Park. Adding to this is the extensive network of Nature Ways, and the over 300 km Park Connector Network that links major parks, nature areas and residential estates island-wide. Every year, we run over 3,500 educational and outreach programmes across our various green spaces.
NParks has developed an urban biodiversity conservation model, which aims to conserve representative ecosystems in land-scarce Singapore. NParks also monitors and coordinates measures to enhance the presence of biodiversity in our urban landscape.
NParks is working closely with partners in the landscape, horticulture, veterinary and animal sectors to increase productivity, and provide training for all levels of the workforce. Enhancing competencies of the industry will support Singapore’s vision of being a City in Nature.

The Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions (CNCS) at the National University of Singapore is a focal point for world-class research, thought leadership and education on nature-based solutions for climate mitigation and adaptation in the Asia-Pacific Region. The Centre brings together an interdisciplinary group of researchers to produce credible, salient, and legitimate science that informs nature-based climate strategies and actions and build capacity and empower leadership in the public, private and people sectors to respond to climate challenges and opportunities.
