Queens Public Library (QPL) is a community resource and information hub for Queens, a diverse county in New York City where 47.8% of its 2.3 million residents are foreign born and an estimated 200 languages are spoken. QPL lends books and provides access to e-books and other media in different languages. QPL advances skills training and education through virtual and in-person offerings including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) for new immigrants.
