The solutions being developed for The Barbara Bush Foundation Adult Literacy XPRIZE presented by Dollar General Literacy Foundation will improve the quality and access of literacy education for the most undeserved adult learners within the United States.
With over 100 teams competing, we need a dedicated community to bring new products to market. You too can get involved!
For more information about the competition please read our Competition Guidelines.
Three Ways to Help
One: Join a Team
While team registration is closed, teams can add members throughout the competition. If you are a software developer, expert in business development or marketing - there might be a team looking for your exact skill set!
If you’re interested in joining a team, create a profile, and use the Directory to review the profiles of Teams looking for additional team members or that need your expertise. Start a conversation with current teams and decide how you can best work together.
Two: Become a Mentor
If you’re an industry or functional expert, your knowledge and expertise can help our teams develop and scale. Serving as a mentor is a great way to be a part of this tremendous effort to address adult low literacy. Within our Competition Portal, you will find high quality teams and connect with the talented individuals working to make the impossible possible.
As a mentor or advisor, it will be up to you and the teams to determine the exact nature of the relationship. There are no requirements or limitations regarding who you work with, remuneration, or frequency of contact.
If you are interested in mentoring a team, you can register in the Competition Portal. Once you complete your Mentor Profile, you can review the all the Team Profiles of our competitors. Mentors and Teams can contact one another directly in the system.
Three: Offer a Resource
Teams are always looking for access to great resources. As competing teams develop their prototypes, they will need to work with adult learners to test the relevance, content and effectiveness of their designs.
Help teams connect with learners within your existing adult education programs. If you can offer our teams valuable access and resources, please email the XPRIZE team at Adult.Literacy@xprize.org and we can share your offer with our competitors.
